A one-year-old boy has died in Texas after being left in the backseat of his mother’s car.

CNN is reporting the Dayton, Texas mother thought she dropped off her son at daycare before she went to work Thursday.

Dayton, TX is 30 miles northeast of Houston, TX.

The Dayton Police Department said the child was still in the rear facing car seat when the mother went to the daycare to pick him up.

They said they are conducting a full investigation.

According to KidsAndCars.org, this is the 30th child to die after being left inside a vehicle.
