One person is dead after a car crash in Wichita Falls Monday night.
Wichita Falls Police and Fire were called out to the intersection of Taft Boulevard and Kell West just before 11 p.m. Monday night. Police say a red Pontiac Grand Am, traveling north on Taft, ran a red light.The driver of silver Chevy Silverado, traveling on the Kell West, told police he was unable to stop and slammed into the car’s passenger side.
Wichita Falls firefighters had to the cut out the driver and one passenger in the car using the Jaws of Life. 33-Year-Old Brandon Eddington was a passenger in the car and died from his injuries. The driver is stable. Police are not releasing his name.
The driver of the truck had only minor injuries.
Police believe alcohol may have played a part in the crash, but that is still under investigation. No charges have been filed yet.
